From making and sharing their own creations to setting goals and discovering new interests, ZOWN gives kids a place built for their wellbeing — not for engagement metrics.

It Started with a Mother's Concern
It started with a simple question: "Is my daughter safe online?" As a mother, I watched my daughter navigate the digital world with growing concern. The platforms available were designed to maximize engagement, not protect children.
After months of research, I realized what I was looking for didn't exist. So I decided to build it myself. ZOWN was born from the belief that children deserve a digital space that puts their wellbeing first.
That's how Zed came to be — an AI companion made just for kids, built with care and a lot of hard questions along the way. Every feature, every interaction, every line of code is written with one question in mind: "Is this good for children?"

Today, ZOWN is real: kids chat with Zed, make and share their own creations, set goals, and check in on how they feel — anonymously, with no ads, and with a real adult reviewing every shared creation before other kids see it. We're just getting started. My hope is a world where parents never have to worry about their children's digital wellbeing.
